About Jenn Lee

I am a mother to three boys who keep me very active with their sports, their love of skiing, pickleball, biking, soccer amongst many other activities. My husband also loves sports and staying active, so we do a lot of fun activities with our family. We have been married for over 14 years, and just recently got a puppy. Call us
crazy! I also love sports and have played sports since I was 13. I love being outside, walking, golfing, biking, soccer, going to the gym and just enjoy being in nature as it brings me peace.

I was born and raised in Edmonton, AB. Both of my parents believed in God and put us in Catholic School hoping that we would learn about religion. When I was growing up my mother was a rock star, she did everything, she worked, cooked, cleaned, did laundry, and kept up with all of our daily needs. She taught me to be a mom! She always told me she loved me.  My Father taught me many things like football, fishing, hunting, sprinting, riding a bike and skating however he struggled with gambling and weekend alcohol binging. When I was 13, my Dad had a breakdown-a chemical imbalance in his brain, this led to him losing his job, becoming depressed, and finally to become a full blown alcoholic. He would have days where he was mentally insane. So, from the age of 13 and on I saw the effects of alcoholism. I saw the effects of mental illness and this had a profound impact on my life.
 

We had neighbors that took us to youth group and church and taught us about Christianity, so I had a foundation that began when I was 8. I went to College, graduated, started working and started dating someone serious when I was 23. We got engaged but it was not the right fit. We had both come from homes with alcoholic Fathers, both had gambling addictions and neither of us had healing from our past trauma. He was jealous, controlling and mentally abusive. We got engaged but I knew it wasn’t right! I got so sick that I lost 25lbs. Finally, in desperation, I cried out to God and He answered me. I prayed to receive Christ and that night I felt His love. I left my fiancé and turned my life over to Christ. I went to counseling weekly and had a wonderful woman disciple me! She taught me how to read the bible, how to pray and set me free from bondage. I got baptized, took every course available at the church. I started singing on the worship team and in a Christian band.

Once I was freed, I wanted everyone to know. I wanted others to be set free. I wanted others to have the freedom I had, and this is where my ministry began.
